Issued for : A special postage stamp was brought to mark the International Letter Writing Week 1980 which began on October 6. This year, the design of the stamp has been adapted from the picture titled “Cranes” painted by Motooki Watanabe (1683-1755) on the cedar board sliding door which has been kept in Daikaku-ji Temple, Kyoto.
