About : 

• “Kujaku–kika” is drawn on a screen with two panes (each pane measuring 173cm wide and 146cm long). A peacock with its wing proudly stretched and a hollyhock bright and lovely are painted in rich colouring on the screen strewn with gold dust. Korin‘s sharp skilled touch of description is well expressed on the painting which is said to have been drawn in his late years (about 53 years old). Including the above the pictures such as “Kobai–hakubai” (Red plum and White plum) and “Kakitsubata” (Iris) are enumerated among his representative works.
