  • With an objective of formulating and supporting the implementation of social services and welfare oriented programmes in the national context by effectively coordinating social services activities of social organisations in order to mobilise their endeavour and resources towards a multi-dimensional growth for rendering services to children, youth, elderly people and women by providing security to the disabled and distressed. Social Service National Coordination Council was established in the year 1977 A.D.
  • Graciously chaired by Her Majesty the Queen since its inception, the Council has inspired and stimulated all the social service organisations by adding a new dimension through the process of institutionalisation of social service sector.
