In recognition of her magnificent leading role in the field of child welfare we observe this happy day as our National Children’s Day. The special stamp issued to mark this occasion depicts, under an inset portrait of Her Majesty, a child about to launch a toy aircraft, thus symbolising the advance towards a new and more prosperous age of science and technology.
