- His late Majesty King Mahendra introduced partyless democratic Panchayat System in the country in the year 1960. Since then under the active and dynamic leadership of the Crown it has achieved tremendous progress in the sphere of non-aligned foreign policy, class coordination, establishment of a society which is free from exploitation, Sajha economic system, decentralisation, together with the creation of infrastructure so as to bring all-around national development of the country and enhance the country’s prestige in the world at large.
