About :

  • Lakshmi Prasad Devkota was a born poetic genius. He had a super-sensitive chord of mind, which even when hit by ordinary, ineffective and barren-looking objects could produce lyrical rhythms. With his ideas unfettered, his imagination unbounded and his style unheeded and concurrently with his inborn coherent and versicular expression Devkota, so long he lived, remained an unfailing fountain of poetic outflow. His literary contributions are enormous and invaluable. In fact Devkota was one of the great poets of our Era.
