About :
- At the call of the UN General Assembly, the Year 1985 has been declared as an International Youth Year to achieve the goals of development and peace with the participation of Youth and to arouse consciousness in youth and activise them in the task of nation building in a meaningful manner.
- In accordance with this call International Youth Year National Committee has been constituted in Nepal under the Chairmanship of His Royal Highness Prince Dhirendra Bir Bikram Shah. The National Committee has formulated a number of Youth oriented activities projected toward helping them become self-reliant and active participatory member of the society.
