About : 

  • A World Conference on Human Resource Development being held in New Delhi from November 8-11, 1994, under the aegis of the International Federation of Training and Development Organisations whose major aim is to encourage education, cross-cultural exchange and cooperation in the field of HRD. The Indian Society for Training and Development, which is affiliated to IFTDO, is hosting the Conference.
  • The Conference, which will be the twenty-third in the series of World Conferences of IFTDO, has chosen ‘Global Changes and Stability in 2000 AD – Strategic Issues‘ as its theme to reflect on major economic, social and political changes, to which we are witness, and attempt a delineation of the strategic role for the HRD profession at the international, national, organisational and the individual levels.
  • Human Resource Development is, today, one of the most important issues that is basic to the development of the country. The Conference will bring together academics, managers, HRD practitioners and consultants worldwide to pool their experiences, insights and theoretical expositions in identifying and discussing global changes, challenges and strategies by the advent of the twenty-first century.
