• India and the Philippines share warm and friendly ties, based on historical, cultural and civilisational connections, shared values and common interests. Diplomatic Relations between the two countries were formally established in November 1949.
• The Philippines is a key pillar in India’s Act East Policy, Vision MAHASAGAR, vision of the Indo-Pacific, and is a close partner in India’s Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with ASEAN.
• In recent years, the multifaceted cooperation between India and the Philippines has grown significantly. High-level political dialogues, expanding trade and commerce, growing defence and maritime partnerships, including Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR), cooperation in the areas of science and technology, digital and financial technologies, agriculture, and people-to-people exchanges are some of the key aspects of our bilateral engagement.

• The Maha Kumbh, a sacred congregation that unfolds every twelve years, is more than a spectacular gathering of millions – it is a spiritual odyssey that delves into the very essence of human existence.
• At the heart of the Maha Kumbh Mela lies a symbol steeped in cosmic significance – the “Kumbh” or sacred pot. This vessel, laden with symbolism, transcends its physical form to embody the human body and the quest for spiritual awakening. According to Hindu mythology, the Kumbh symbolizes the celestial pot that emerged during the churning of the cosmic ocean, containing the divine nectar known as “amrit”. Metaphorically, the Maha Kumbh represents the human form, and the nectar within symbolizes the spiritual essence intrinsic to every individual. The stamps are inspired from the famous verse :
  
  
• STAMP 1: Maharshi Bharadwaj Ashram
  • Associated with Maharshi Bharadwaj Ashram, this place has been a revered religious site for centuries. During Maharshi Bharadwaj’s time, it was renowned as an educational centre. According to Ramayana and Purans, Shri Ram visited this place with Mata Sita and Lakshman while on his way to Chitrakoot during his Vanvas period. The famous Ramcharitmanas written by Tulasidas also begins from the Bharadwaj’s Ashram in the Balkand.
  • Maharshi Bharadwaj was the author of numerous texts on subjects such as Grammar (Vyakaran), Ayurveda, Dhanurveda (Archery), Political Science (Rajneeti Shastra), Mechanics (Yantrasarvasva), Economics (Arthshastra), Purans, and Education, among others. However, today, only Yantrasarvasva and Shiksha (Education) are available. According to the Vayupuran, he wrote a book called Ayurveda Samhita, which was divided into eight parts and taught to his disciples. According to the Charak Samhita, he imparted the knowledge of Kayachikitsa (general medicine) to Atreya Punarvasu.
  • Maharshi Bharadwaj received knowledge of Ayurveda and Savitr Agni Vidya (knowledge of the fire of Savitr) from Indra, and later, in a different era, from Lord Brahma. By absorbing the power of fire, the Maharshi attained the essence of immortality and ascended to the heavenly realms, where he gained union with Aditya (the Sun). (Taittiriya Brahman 3/10/11)
  • Perhaps for this reason, Maharshi Bharadwaj was one of the longest-living sages. Maharshi Charak described him as one with an immeasurable lifespan. (Sutra Sthan 1/26).
  • Today, the site is home to several temples, including the Bharadwajeshwar Mahadev, Maharshi Bharadwaj, Tirthraj Prayag and Devi Kali among others. Nearby, the beautiful Bharadwaj Park offers a serene atmosphere for visitors to relax and unwind.
• STAMP 2: Snan
  • Prayagraj, the Tirthraj or ‘King of Pilgrimages’, is sanctified by the Triveni Sangam – the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the invisible Saraswati. According to ancient scriptures, bathing when Guru (Jupiter) enters Vrish Rashi purifies the soul and attains Moksha (Salvation) – known for hosting the Kumbh, and the Magh Mela annually. Prayagraj Kumbh is a mega event that features various rituals, with the Snan bathing ritual known as Tirth Snan being the most significant. The Ganga is considered the river of knowledge, the Yamuna is regarded as the symbol of devotion, Saraswati is the bestower of liberation (moksha), and Lakshmi grants wealth. Therefore, one who bathes at the Triveni Sangam of the three rivers Ganga, Yamuna, and the invisible Saraswati – attains knowledge, devotion, wealth and liberation (Moksha).
  • Millions of pilgrims take part in the Kumbh Tirth Snan at the Triveni Sangam, performing this sacred ritual per the belief that by submerging oneself in the Sangam Jal, one is purified of all sins, releases oneself and their ancestors from the cycle of rebirth called Moksha, and they also ultimately attain their Moksha. Along with the Tirth Snan, pilgrims also camp on the banks of the holy river called Kalpvas and participate in discourses from various Sadhus, Tapasvis, and spiritual Mentors seeking spiritual enlightenment and guidance. The Kumbh Mela is a unique opportunity for devotees to connect with Sanatan discourses of harmony, and their spiritual heritage and seek Moksha.
• STAMP 3: Akshayvat
  • The Akshayvat, also known as the immortal Banyan tree, is a sacred tree deeply rooted in Sanatan scriptures. This holds significant importance as it is believed to be the tree under which Shri Ram, Mata Sita and Lakshman, rested during their Vanvas. According to the Scriptures, the tree is immortal and has been a silent witness to the passage of time, making it a revered and sacred site for devotees and pilgrims. According to the Padma Puran, even during the period of cosmic dissolution (Pralay), the Akshayvat remains steadfast. For this reason, it is called Akshayvat (eternal).
    
    
  • During the time of Pralay (cosmic dissolution), Lord Vishnu rests on its leaves, which is why it is called Akshay (eternal). Not only Maharshis did meditate under this tree, but even the gods and goddesses performed penance here. For this reason, this tree is considered the abode of all the deities. According to the Padma Puran, wherever the shadow of the Akshayvat falls, it generates divinity in humans and removes their sins and sufferings. Akshayvat is regarded as a witness to all actions (Karmas).

• The bilateral ties between India and Israel have evolved significantly since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1992. The relationship received a major boost with the visits of high-level dignitaries from both countries that includes historic visit by Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s to Israel in 2017 and reciprocal visit by Hon’ble Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu in 2018.
• India and Israel have made significant strides in enhancing bilateral cooperation across various sectors such as defence, technology, agriculture and water cooperation. India’s growing stature on the global stage and Israel’s technological prowess has created avenues for deeper collaboration in these sectors. Israel’s expertise in precision farming, drip irrigation, desalination and agricultural technology has proven invaluable to India especially in addressing the challenges of water scarcity and increasing agricultural productivity. India and Israel have established 31 Agriculture Centres of Excellence in 13 Indian states that aim to benefit farmers in increasing quality and quantity of horticultural produce by innovative technologies.
• Similarly in the field of technology and innovation, Israel’s reputation as start-up nation has paved way for extensive collaboration in emerging strategic technologies that includes artificial intelligence, smart solutions, cyber security, quantum technology contributing to our ‘Make in India initiative’. India–Israel bilateral trade and economic ties have progressed rapidly from around US$ 200 million in 1992 to around US$ 10.77 billion in FY 2022-23.
• The historical link between India and Israel dates back to several centuries. Since then, Jewish community in India thrived and flourished and today the Jewish community is vital part of our composite cultural mosaic and India is proud of their contributions. Our rich Indian diaspora in Israel serves as an organic link between the two countries that includes caregivers, students, professionals and business community.
• India and Israel have deep sense of mutual admiration and curiosity in cultural sphere that transcends geographical boundaries. Indian movies, Cuisine, Ayurveda and Yoga is very popular in Israel. International Day of Yoga event is well attended and celebrated with great enthusiasm by Israelis. Israelis particularly the youth visit India in large numbers for tourism purposes. Most of the Hindu and Jewish religious festivals share remarkable similarities and their celebrations coincides around the same time (Diwali-Hanukkah and Holi–Purim). These cultural parallels foster a sense of connection and understanding between the people of India and Israel.
• As India and Israel look to the future, the trajectory of our relationship appears promising. Both countries are committed to deepening cooperation and exploring new frontiers of collaboration that is driven by mutual benefits and prosperity. • The joint stamp, designed on the theme of Purim and Holi is indicative of the ideological similarities between the two societies. While Purim is the Jewish festival commemorating the survival of the Jews due to the efforts of Esther against the diabolical plot of Haman the chief minister of the Persian King Ahaseurus, to annihilate them in the Persian empire; Holi is a Hindu festival commemorating the survival of Prahlada a God loving prince from the diabolical plan of his father Hiranyakashyap plotting with his sister Holika to murder Prahlada for his devotion to God.

• India and Oman are linked by geography, history, and culture and enjoy warm and cordial relations. While people-to-people contact between India and Oman can be traced back to 5000 years, diplomatic relations were established in 1955, which got upgraded to a Strategic Partnership in 2008. After that, the political engagement between the two countries has taken on a more strategic shape.
• As a mark of this special friendship, India has extended an invitation to the Sultanate of Oman to participate as a guest country during India’s Presidency of the Group of 20 nations (G-20). This is a symbol of the time-tested friendship between India and Oman and opens up new possibilities for deepening cooperation between the two countries.
• To commemorate the long historic friendship and cultural similarities between India and Oman, India Post and Oman Post agreed to the issuance of India-Oman Joint Stamp. An MOU in this regard was signed by the Department of Posts, Ministry of Communications, Government of India and Oman Post on 21 March 2022. The two sides agreed on the theme of traditional dance forms of India and Oman for this joint stamp issue.
• The artwork for the joint stamp has been created by Mrs. Soni Budhia, an Indian artist living in Oman over the past 12 years. The artwork showcases the traditional dance forms of India and Oman and the iconic architectural symbols of both countries. The Indian image is showcased with Hawa Mahal, a well-known landmark from the city of Jaipur, while the Omani image is showcased on the backdrop with the iconic Fort Nizwa, which is one of the most identifiable landmarks of Oman.
• The launch of India–Oman Joint Stamp marks a historic milestone in the long-standing relationship between India and Oman and will be cherished by both philatelists and art enthusiasts in both countries.
• Dandiya Raas is a popular folk dance from the state of Gujarat in India. Dandiya Raas is a rhythmic dance performed by young people moving around in a circle in measured steps to the beat of dandiya or sticks that they carry in their hands. The rhythm is maintained by the clacking sticks, with clapping hands keeping pace. The Dandiya Raas is performed with traditional songs and folk tunes to the beat of the dhol and the wind instrument Shehnai. It is associated with the autumn festival of Navaratri.
• As precious gems rooted deep in Omani heritage, various folk arts are passed from generation to the next in the Sultanate of Oman. They are living manifestations of the nation’s values, norms and behaviors that Omanis so proudly exhibit and celebrate in breathtaking spectacles brimming with national pride.
• A key component of Oman’s artistic heritage is Al Razha, an ancient folk art widely known across the Sultanate. It is a choreographed duel between two fighters, called Zavenin, armed with swords and shields and accompanied by passages recited by great poets.
• This magnificent performance is considered an artistic display of people’s celebration and happiness. It was primarily used as a call to arms, a declaration of victory or was a form of traditional celebration and entertainment during holidays and gatherings.
• Al Razha is performed in various styles depending on the performers’ movements, the rhythm and tempo and the subject of accompanying poems. Main styles of this traditional artform include Himbel, Qusafi and Lal Al Oud.

• India and Mauritius share a longstanding bilateral relationship that spans several decades. While formal diplomatic relations began 75 years ago in 1948, the arrival of Indians in Mauritius dates back to the early 18^th century, when Indian artisans and masons were brought to Mauritius under French Colonial rule.
• In the 19^th and early 20^th century, about half a million Indian indentured workers were brought to Mauritius under British rule, out of which, about two-thirds settled down in Mauritius. The first batch of 36 indentured workers arrived in Mauritius on 2^nd November 1834 and 2^nd November is now celebrated every year as ‘Aapravasi Diwas’.
• Mahatma Gandhi visited Mauritius in 1901 and exhorted Indian workers to educate themselves and become politically empowered. During the struggle for independence from British rule, Indian and Mauritian leaders were in regular contact. Soon after India became independent, India deputed Shri Dharam Yash Dev as the first Indian Commissioner to Mauritius in September 1948. The spirit of Indian nationalism became a source of inspiration for Mauritius and when Mauritius became independent 20 years later, India’s diplomatic representation was upgraded to a High Commission. There have been 27 Commissioners/High Commissioners of India to Mauritius in the last 75 years. In a lasting tribute to these close ties, 12^th March, the date on which Gandhiji began his Dandi March, was chosen as the Mauritian Independence Day.
• Since independence, both India and Mauritius have been walking hand-in-hand in their journey of nation building, economic growth and development. From being a low-income, monocrop economy, Mauritius has emerged as a beacon of democracy, pluralism and prosperity. The bonds between the two countries have grown stronger over the decades with close operation in maritime security, development partnership, capacity-building, culture, people-to-people ties, and cooperation in international fora.
• The close bonds between India and Mauritius are evident in the numerous India-assisted development projects that dot the Mauritian landscape, such as the Metro Express, the Social Housing Project, the Cyber Tower, the ENT Hospital, the new Supreme Court building, Jawaharlal Nehru Hospital, Rabindranath Tagore Institute, Upadhyay Training Centre, Swami Vivekananda Conference Centre, etc. New projects like Civil Services College, Police Academy, Forensic Sciences Laboratory, the National Library & Archives, the 8MW Solar Power Project, continue to contribute to Mauritius’ economic and social development. Mauritius is also one of the largest beneficiaries of the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) capacity building programme, with more than 365 Mauritians trained every year in India.
• The two countries have traditionally enjoyed close economic ties. Mauritius has been a top source of Foreign Direct Investment into India, while India has been one of Mauritius’ top trade partners. To further boost economic exchanges, the two countries signed the Comprehensive Economic Cooperation and Partnership Agreement (CECPA) in 2021, which is India’s first such trade agreement with any African country. With this, Mauritius stands uniquely poised to attract Indian investment and serve as a gateway for investments into Africa.
• Indian music, dance, and cuisine are an integral part of Mauritian culture. Hindi is also widely spoken in Mauritius, and Bollywood movies have a significant following. The enduring cultural and people-to-people ties between India and Mauritius are nurtured by the Indira Gandhi Centre for Indian Culture (India’s largest cultural center abroad) and the World Hindi Secretariat, a bilateral organization set up in Mauritius to promote Hindi globally. The Government of India has also helped set up the Mahatma Gandhi Institute in Mauritius, which is dedicated to promoting Indian culture and language as well as the Rajiv Gandhi Science Centre to promote Science.
• People-to-people exchanges are at the heart of India–Mauritius bilateral relations. Several thousand Mauritians visit India every year for tourism, shopping and medical treatment. Likewise, Mauritius is a popular destination for Indian tourists, with its pristine beaches and luxury resorts. Over 500 scholarships were provided to Mauritian students to study in Indian universities last year, and there are several Indian educational institutions operating in Mauritius. Through initiatives such as the ‘Know India Programme’ and the ‘NCC Youth Exchange Programme’, there is an ongoing effort to establish a connect between the younger generations of both countries.
• Reflecting the special bilateral relationship between the two countries, Mauritius has been invited as a ‘Guest Country’ to participate in the G20 Summit during India’s G20 Presidency, starting from 01 December 2022. With several new partnership initiatives and development projects in the pipeline, Mauritius–India relations are set to further strengthen in the years to come. The joint issue of this postage stamp to mark 75 years of diplomatic relations is a testament to the strong ties between India and Mauritius and a symbol of their enduring friendship.
• The Mauritius Kestrel, Falco punctatus, was declared as the National Bird of Mauritius on the occasion of the 30^th Anniversary of the Republic of Mauritius on 12 March 2022. An endangered species, the Mauritius Kestrel is endemic to the island of Mauritius. It usually nests in natural cavities on cliffs, ravines and trees in the south-eastern and south western regions of the island. The upper part of the Kestrel’s plumage is brown with black barring, while the under part is white with dark spots.
• The ‘Mauritius Kestrel Recovery Programme’ being implemented since 1973, under which, Kestrel chicks have been hand reared and successfully translocated to endemic regions of Mauritius, is hailed today as one of the world’s most successful initiatives to save a bird species from extinction.
• The Indian peacock, Pavo cristatus, is a colourful, swan-sized bird, with a fan-shaped crest of feathers, a white patch under the eye and a long, slender neck. The male of the species is more vibrantly colourful than the female, with a glistening blue neck and chest, and a spectacular bronze-green tail comprising around 200 elongated feathers.
• In 1963, the Indian Peacock was declared the National Bird of India, since it embodies India’s rich fauna and is considered sacred in Indian mythology and culture. With its magnificent iridescent blue-green plumage, and attributes such as joy, beauty and grace, the Indian Peacock embodies the vibrant spirit of India.

About : 

• Construction of “Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Tunnel” in Chattogram under the river Karnaphuli is an initiative of the present government led by Hon’ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to fulfil the dream “Golden Bengal” of the greatest Bengali of all time, the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, which is the first under river road Tunnel in Bangladesh as well as in the South Asia. In the year 2010 Hon’ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina declared in a public meeting in Chattogram to construct a tunnel under the river Karnaphuli. Then the Project was initiated in 2011 by a feasibility study. Later on, during the visit of Hon’ble Prime Minister in China on 09 June, 2014 a Government to Government based Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed with Chinese Government for constructing the tunnel. Accordingly, China Government nominated “China Communications Construction Company Ltd. (CCCC Ltd)” for Constructing the tunnel. Thereafter, on 30 June, 2015 the Loan Agreement was signed between Bangladesh Bridge Authority and China Communications Construction Company Ltd. (CCCC Ltd.). Afterward, on 14 October, 2016 the Loan Agreement was signed between Exim Bank of China & Economic Relation Division and in the Same day His Excellency Hon’ble President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping and Hon’ble Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the foundation stone of tunnel construction.
• Objectives of the Project: –
  • In order to make connectivity of the coveted “One City and Two Town” model, development of road communication with the south-east part of the country, connectivity with the Asian Highway Network, connection with Chattogram Port & Airport, reduction of existing traffic congestion bypassing Chattogram city, development of existing & developing industrial zone as well as for flourishing tourism industry at the Anowara end and for smooth functioning of port, initiatives were taken to construct a tunnel under the river Karnaphuli.
• Rationale of the Project: –
  • To enable the entry and berthing of large vessels with higher requirement of draft and length, construction of a Deep-Sea Port in Matarbari, Chattogram is under planning. It is expected that the cargo traffic through Chattogram will increase significantly after opening the operation of the Deep-Sea Port. Moreover, to avoid the sedimentation problem under the river Karnaphuli it is essential to construct a tunnel instead of a bridge. Thus, Construction of Tunnel appears to be a prerequisite in fulfilling the above important objectives.
• Tunnel Alignment: –
  • West Side: 2 Km downstream of the River Karnaphuli from the Airport & near Navy College.
  • East Side: At the Anowara end near KAFCO Fertilizer Factory.
  • Tunnel Type: Dual Two-Lane Tube.
• Construction Method: –
  • The tunneling works of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Tunnel had been done by “Shield Driven Method”. In this method Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) had been used for excavation of Soil and Slurry Transportation System was used to remove the soil from the tunnel to Slurry Treatment Plant.
• Brief Description of Tunnel Tube: –
  • The total length of the tunnel is 3315 meters with Open-Cut, Cut & Cover, Working shaft on both sides and two Tubes of 2450 meter length. The maximum depth of the tunnel from mean sea level is 42.60 meter. The inner and outer diameters of the tunnel are 10.80 and 11.80 meter respectively. The inside vertical clearance is 4.90 meter and maximum slope is 4 percent.
  • The main round tube is divided into upper and lower parts. In the upper part vehicle will run over the concrete slab and on the surface there are systems for lighting, air circulation and security signals. The lower parts have an emergency exit with drainage system. In addition, there are three cross passage between the two tubes after every 700 meter for emergency rescue purpose. The inner height of every cross passage is 2.7 meter. The maximum speed limit of vehicle inside the tunnel is 80 km per hour.
• Due to strong political leadership and deft economic management of Hon’ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina helped Bangladesh to meet all criteria for graduation out of Least Developed Country (LDC) status. Bangladesh achieved the status of Middle-Income Country crossing the lower Middle-Income threshold in 2015 and achieved a decade of 7 percent average GDP growth. After the opening of “Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Tunnel” the Financial & Economic IRR will be respectively 6.19% & 12.49% and the Financial & Economic “Benefit Cost Ratio (BCR)” will be respectively 1.05 & 1.50. Moreover, it will accelerate the GDP growth rate of near about 0.166%. Due to the construction of “Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Tunnel” the dream of “Golden Bengal” of Bangabandhu will move one step ahead and the macro economy of Bangladesh will be accelerated.

• The Scindia School is a pre-eminent centre of learning, producing global leaders with Indian ethos. The School was founded by HH Maharaja Madhavrao Scindia I in 1897 as the Sardars’ School for educating the sons of Jagirdars and Chieftains as the administrators of tomorrow.
• In 1908, the Sardars’ School was shifted out of Phool Bagh into the Gwalior Fort. The visionary HH Maharaja Jiwajirao Scindia transformed it into a modern public residential school. • India and Vietnam share traditionally close and cordial bilateral relations. Mahatma Gandhi and President Ho Chi Minh, regarded as the Father of Nation in India and Vietnam respectively, led people in their heroic struggle against colonialism in their respective countries. India was the Chairman of the International Commission for Supervision and Control formed pursuant to the Geneva Accord of 1954 to facilitate the peace process in Vietnam. India established full diplomatic relations with unified Vietnam on 7 January 1972.
• Bilateral relations between the two countries have been elevated to the level of “Comprehensive Strategic Partnership” during Indian Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi’s visit to Vietnam in 2016. The current development of India–Vietnam relations are guided by a historic ‘Joint Vision for Peace Prosperity and People’ adopted by Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi and Prime Minister Mr. Nguyen Xuan Phuc during the Virtual Summit held on 21 December 2020. On the sidelines of the Virtual Summit, the Foreign Ministers of the two countries also signed a Plan of Action for the period 2021-23 to implement the Joint Vision. In 2022-23, the two countries are celebrating the 50 years of the establishment of diplomatic relations that also coincides with the 75^th anniversary of India’s independence “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”.
• India has a long-standing development partnership with Vietnam that has made positive contributions towards capacity building, sustainable development goals (SDGs) and socioeconomic development under bilateral and ASEAN framework. Under the Mekong Ganga Cooperation Framework, India has been taking up Quick Impact Projects (QIPs) in various provinces of Vietnam for development of community infrastructure at grassroot levels. Vietnam is an active participant of the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) programme and other scholarships.
• India and Vietnam share historical and civilizational links, including through their shared heritage of Buddhism and Cham traditions. The Government of India commissioned the Archaeological Survey of India for restoration and conservation of 3 Group of temples in My Son sanctuary of Vietnam. The restoration work has been completed following all specifications, quality and international standards and norms and in accordance to the MoU signed between India and Vietnam. Yoga is another link between the people of India and Vietnam and is very popular among the people of Vietnam. Thousands of Vietnamese people participate in the International Day of Yoga at multiple locations in Vietnam in June every year. Launching direct flights between the two countries in 2019 and implementation of a simplified visa regime travel have boosted travel for leisure, business and cultural purposes between the two countries.
• India & Vietnam has a lot of affinity in sports also. A martial art with a legacy of more than 3000 years, Kalaripayattu, the traditional martial art form of Kerala, India is regarded as the oldest and most scientific of all martial arts in the world. Kalaripayattu combines a wide range of combat techniques from empty hand combat to a wide range of weaponry including long staff, short stick, curved stick, sword and shield, spear, mace and flexible sword (urumi). A blend of yoga, meditation, relaxation and self-defense techniques, Kalaripayattu these days is gaining prominence and popularity.
• In Vietnam, (Vovinam Viet Vo Dao) was founded by Grand Master Nguyen Loc in 1936, with the desire to improve the self-defense and fighting ability of Vietnamese people in the fight to expel the French colonialists and to gain national independence. Vovinam combines the quintessence of traditional Vietnamese martial arts and the world’s martial arts, being famous for high-flying and neck-clamping blows. So far, Vovinam has been developed with more than 2 million students in many countries and territories around the world. In 2011, Vovinam was first included in the official competition program at the 26^th SEA Games held in Indonesia.
• A Joint Postage Stamp depicting Kalaripayattu and Vovinam is an opportunity to promote the national identity of India & Vietnam. This Joint Postage Stamp also celebrates the strong cultural, social & political links between these two national allies of the region.
